Your Questions? Our Answers!
Q1 What football facemasks can be reconditioned/recoated?
A1 All football facemasks can be reconditioned/recoated.
Q2 What football facemasks should NOT be recoated/recertified?
A2 Any mask with a broken weld, bent frame, or its been spread.
Q3 Is our coating as durable as the factory coating?
A3 Absolutely! Some of our repeat customers say our coating looks BETTER and IS MORE DURABLE than the factory coating.
Q4 Why are carbon/stainless steel mask reconditioning the same price and titanium more?
A4 The process is the same for all three types of masks. However, titanuim takes more time because it does not hold heat as well as the other types of metal.
Q5 What is the turn around time?
A5 Please allow 14-21 days after we receive your masks. We start the process as soon as we receive them. Depending on how busy we are, the process can be as short as 7 days and as long as 21 days.
Q6 What is the best way to ship my facemasks to FaceMaskRecon.com?
A6 It depends on how many masks you are sending. USPS or UPS is usually the cheapest for just one mask. Any more than one and you should use UPS or send them freight. (note: When sending via UPS it is cheaper to create an account online and print your labels than taking it to a UPS store.)
Q7 What forms of payment do you accept?
A7 We accept Cash, US Postal Money Orders, Cashiers/Certified checks, Paypal, and Credit Cards thru paypal (3% added for these)
Q8 Will you recondition my football helmets also?
A8 We currently do not recondition football helmets but we know others who do.
Q9

What is the fewest/most number of facemasks I can send you?

A9 One is the fewest and there is no upward limit.
Q10 Why do Schutt and Riddell tell me not to use reconditioned facemasks and/or have mine reconditioned?
A10 They want you to buy a new mask from them. Our facemask reconditioning process is NOCSAE certified and each mask will have the NOCSAE certification on it.
Q11 Is there a difference between reconditioning, recoating, and redipping a football facemask?
A11 No, they all refer to the same process.
Q12 Will my football facemask be NOCSAE / NAERA certified?
A12 Yes. Our process is certified and each mask will have the certification on the inside of the facemask.
